ITC appoint Northern Ireland Media Officer
The ITC have announced the appointment of a new Media and Public Relations Officer for Northern Ireland.
Lisa Mitchell, originally from Magherafelt in Northern Ireland, has over seven years’ experience of television broadcasting and media relations, both in the UK and Republic of Ireland. She joins the ITC from a role as Publicist with Tyrone Productions, the Dublin based production company responsible for RTÉ’s ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ and ‘Riverdance, Live at Radio City.’
Mitchell has previously worked for the BBC Press Office as part of the core BBC Media Relations team for Eurovision ’98. She has also held the posts of Events and Information Manager with Belfast based research project, 'The Cost of the Troubles Study' and, more recently, that of Television Publicist for RTÉ in Dublin.
Welcoming Mitchell’s appointment, Denis Wolinski, Head of the ITC in Northern Ireland, said: “We are delighted to have Lisa as part of our team. Her experience of press, public relations and of the broadcasting industry is just the mix we were looking for.”
Mitchell’s predecessor, Richard Good, left the ITC at the end of July to take up the post of Adviser to the Speaker’s Office at the Northern Ireland Assembly.
