PRINTOUT VIDEO PUBLISHING TO RE-LAUNCH CLIPVAULT.COM

PRINTOUT VIDEO Publishing have announced that they will officially re-launch Clipvault.com, on September 11, an on-line clip distribution and personal broadcasting service that offers business users and consumers an easy and affordable way of streaming video on the web.
Clipvault has already proved invaluable to major corporate clients who have used the service to overcome geographical and time barriers. With Clipvault, end users located anywhere in the world can log in to a secure website and view or download video, audio or stills specifically intended for them. Thanks to a substantial re-design, customers can now create their own Clipvault and upload their own material from any computer linked to the Internet.
The material must be stored in an appropriate digital format, for example QuickTime or Movie Player, however Printout offers a full encoding service for customers whose material isn¹t in the correct format.
Printout¹s Managing Director Carl Fuss said Clipvault¹s aim is to bring broadcast industry technology to the wider business community.
He said: "Using the Internet as a means of transferring video as digital data from one location to another is already commonplace within the broadcast and film industries. A film editor, for example, who often needs to transfer clips will probably have his own website set up to handle the task. However, not all companies and individuals have the time or technical ability to create their own clip distribution websites. In some cases corporate websites simply can¹t handle the task or are set up in such a way that the system administrator won¹t let individuals upload or download clips.”
Digital information is uploaded to a secure website and those who need to view it are immediately emailed with the relevant password. End users can customise their Clipvault page with their own logos and can also include hyperlinks to their own website. Additionally, their own website can be linked to their Clipvault page, thus adding hassle-free video to personal and corporate websites for minimum expense.
Clipvault is housed on Windows 2000 servers that are hosted by Surrey-based Serverworld. To encourage new customers to experiment with the service, Printout makes no charge for uploading the first two MEGS of material, while beyond this there they are only charged according to the size of the file.
Based in London¹s Dean Street, Printout Video Publishing specialises in providing high quality stills from Video and Video Encoding. (CD)
