John Whittingdale Joins Board Of Audio Network

Music producer and supplier Audio Network has announced that John Whittingdale OBE MP is to join the board as non-executive director.
Managing Director Andrew Sunnucks, said: "This is a tremendous opportunity for Audio Network. John's wide ranging experience will be invaluable in guiding us and keeping us focused on the changes happening in the industry. We welcome being pushed to the limit!"
John Whittingdale previously worked as Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and then Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, before becoming an MP in 1992. He has served in the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and as Shadow Culture Secretary. For the past three years, he has been Chairman of the House of Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee.
A perhaps unlikely rock music fans, Mr Whittingdale said: "I have had a long-standing interest in the music industry and hugely admire what Audio Network has already achieved. The company is based around a brilliant concept and I have no doubt that their innovation and creativity will ensure they remain at the forefront of any changes that occur in today's media environment. I'm looking forward to working with Andrew and the board all the amazing things Audio Network is doing."
