Geevs Offers Multichannel HD Uncompressed Support
Following on from the announcement at IBC 2008 of the new Version 4.5 Software for the Geevs Server range, Gee Broadcast has announced enhanced performance for HD operation.
Geevs MR and MR+ models can now support 4 HD channels in a single chassis either using uncompressed media from 50 to 250Mbits/sec or uncompressed media.
Geevs is one of the first broadcast servers to support multichannel HD uncompressed operation in a low cost 4RU chassis.
Under Geevs 4.5, files using different codecs or uncompressed files can be simply mixed and played out back to back.
Geevs MR and MR+ with this enhanced HD support are shipping now.
