'Burn' Movie Races Up UK Film Charts
A new movie is blazing to the top of the box office league with the comedy, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt and John Malkovich, taking £2m in its opening weekend.
Once gain, the Oscar-winning filmmakers the Coen Brothers have topped the UK and Ireland box office chart with their latest film 'Burn After Reading'.
It took nearly twice as much as its nearest rival, action film 'Eagle Eye' starring Shia LaBeouf, which took £1.1m at number two.
Animated film 'Igor' was the third new entry in the top 10 at number three.
Last week's number one movie, 'The House Bunny', starring Anna Faris as a Playboy bunny thrown out of the mansion, fell three places to four.
Thrillers 'Mirrors' and 'Taken' occupied the middle of the chart.
However, top musical 'Mamma Mia!' is keeping its place in the top 10 after an amazing 15 weeks on the chart at number eight.
Family adventure 'City of Ember' - which was filmed entirely in Belfast - and Ben Stiller's comedy 'Tropic Thunder' complete the current top 10 films across the British Isles.
