MultiDyne Win Two New Product Technology Awards At IBC2008

A leading provider of fibre optics for the transport of video and audio for broadcast and pro A/V applications, MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, was honoured with two prestigious industry awards at the 2008 International Broadcasting Conference (IBC2008) in Amsterdam last month.
MultiDyne won Broadcast Engineering magazine's Pick Hit award and TVBEurope magazine's Best of IBC award for the LiGHTBoX fiber optic field transport system, which provides a road-ready, robust fiber solution for ENG, sports and military environments.
Frank Jachetta, Senior Vice President of Sales & Operations for MultiDyne, said: "Winning these prestigious awards reflects the strength of this fiber transport technology and MultiDyne's commitment to meeting the specific needs of our customers. We are focused on providing fiber solutions for any requirement, including field and harsh-environment applications."
With a 24-year history, the Broadcast Engineering Pick Hit awards are the industry's longest-running new product technology awards. An anonymous panel of Broadcast Engineering readers, who are working professionals in the broadcast, post and network and satellite industries, selected the winners.
For the last four years, TVBEurope's television technology magazine, has produced the Best of IBC Awards, where their editorial team recognises the most innovative new products at IBC.
They especially looked for new products that clearly show the potential to make money, or save money, for end users, rather than clever technology for technology's sake.
Unveiled at IBC2008, the LiGHTBoX addresses the need for fiber transport in field and harsh-environment applications. Ideal for ENG, sports and military customers, the LiGHTBoX has both AC and DC power operation with battery back-up, and is fully customisable, offering virtually any signal configuration.
This road-ready, robust fiber solution can be linked via a tactical fiber cable or any pigtail-type connector to another LiGHTBoX or MultiDyne terminal products. One configuration of the LiGHTBoX handles the JVC multi-core connector for the camera CCU.
