DGP author Super Banzai for Universal

DGP have completed the design and authoring for a 90-minute DVD of the smash hit gambling sensation show 'Banzai', entitled the 'Super Banzai Video Show'.
For the first time ever, fans will be able to enjoy outrageous highlights from betting games, plus never before seen footage that was too hot for TV.
Released on November 11 and retailing at £19.99, the DVD offers a new gaming experience where viewers are invited to begin betting on a series of surreal and hilarious stunts, often featuring UK celebrities in hysterical cameo roles.
DGP were commissioned by Universal to create a fun, playful disc that maintained the momentum and energy of the original show format. DGP’s expertise and creativity enabled them to develop incredible interactive games that allow the viewer to actually place bets. Depending on the success of the bet, hidden sections within the DVD are then unlocked.
Additional filming and voiceover sessions were done specifically for the DVD release, using blue screen technology, which was then designed and composited in Flint. The static backgrounds were built in After Effects and the audio was cut and mixed using Avid and ProTools.
The DVD was encoded and authored using DGP’s state of the art Toshiba equipment, a system unique in the UK and available only to affiliates of the California Video Centre (CVC), the DVD authoring division of Warner Bros.
