Dalet Migrates Russian TV From Tape To Digital

A software company that works with broadcasters and content professionals to produce and manage audio and video, Dalet Digital Media Systems, has announced that Channel One (formally ORT) has implemented Dalet Enterprise Edition and digitalizing their large-scale news operation with Dalet's enterprise asset management technology.
With 95% market coverage in Russian speaking countries, Channel One is one of the largest Russian broadcasters employing over 2000 people (800 in News), covering six time zones with eight thematic channels distributed over terrestrial and satellite channels.
Channel One offers a wide range of programming; from 24-hour news, to live talk shows, to magazine programs and feature films.
The Dalet Enterprise Edition deployment migrated the massive Channel One news operation from an in-house developed tape-based system to a completely digital workflow facilitating integration with EVS production systems.
