Sony's F35 On Delivery From Today

Sony's new F35 camera, which is billed as 'expanding the production toolset' is officially available for high-end digital cinema and prime programme productions from today.
The F35 has had extensive quality control and green conformity testing done before being initial deliveries started, on 22nd September.
According to Top Teks, the sole Sony Specialist dealer for the F23 and F35 in the UK, they are supplying three of the new F35 to Take 2 Films.
These will be the first units in the UK and Take 2 already has high demand for them.
Take 2 films will be adding the three new units to its rental stock
Top Teks was appointed the Sony Specialist Dealer for the F35 after meeting strict criteria and purchasing demonstration equipment and has made a long-term investment in a purpose-built engineering facility just outside London enabling them to support their sales of high end broadcast equipment and specialise in the latest HD formats.
Top Teks has marketed the F23 for some time now with successes in the specialist Natural History market.
The deal with Take 2 was done in conjunction with independent broadcast dealer BPS UK Ltd with whom they have a long standing relationship and were putting together a larger overall order.
John O'Reilly of BPS UK Ltd asked Top Teks Ltd to demonstrate the camera to Take 2 Films which was done with the help of Neil Thomson, Sony Product Manager for the F23 and F35.
Martin Berry, the company's HD Technical Manager, said: "In recent years, we have noticed a definite trend towards High Definition with many of our customers making the switch from 16 and 35mm film.
"In order to stay on top of this trend, we have invested heavily in High Definition cameras, lenses and test equipment.
"This latest purchase reflects our commitment to offer customers the very best technology currently on the market. Being the first UK rental house to provide the F35 is an exciting new venture."
Aimed specifically at the professional, the Sony F35 camera is a 1920 x 1080p HD CineAlta camera with a single Super 35mm CCD image sensor that records 10bit 4:4:4 at variable frame rates of 1-50fps.
The unit has a PL lens mount that can work with the vast majority of 35mm cinema lenses, making it the ideal tool for cinematographers whose real passion is 35mm film.
Like the F23, this new camera will record to dockable HDCAM SR tape recorders and provides similar capabilities such as SR Motion feature and over-and under-crank capture.
