Custom Consoles Studio Furniture Chosen By Teuve In Barcelona

UK-based furniture design and manufacturer Custom Consoles has announced the completion of a major broadcast furniture installation for Teuve, one of Spain's leading broadcasters.
The contract comprises five desks from the Module-R range, seven System 2 desks, Barco monitor wall cladding and 25 Ergotron LX monitor arms.
Cosme Rubio, Technical Director at Teuve, said: "This new installation forms part of an expansion programme to equip our new Barcelona headquarters with the latest file-based digital production and post-production equipment.
"Module-R was a logical choice for the technical areas as it allowed us to configure the furniture for ourselves. All the desks as well as the monitor wall are finished in maple. Besides being very robustly built and aesthetically attractive, Custom Consoles' Module-R gave us the freedom to specify exactly the features we needed from a range of standard desk components.
"A 7-metre wide two-operator Module-R desk has been installed in our master control room, configured with six desktop equipment pods, two floor-to-desk-height storage bays and 14 monitor arms.
"The desks ends are slightly angled inwards to maintain good viewing angles for the desktop control screens. We also chose two dual-operator Module-R desks for the ingest suite. Each of these has nine desktop equipment pods with eye-level LCD monitors mounted on Ergotron arms above 16 of the pods.
Two additional single-operator Module-R desks accommodate Digidesign ProTools audio production and editing workstations. These house a 24-channel sound control desk between two desktop equipment pods plus a floor-to-desktop-level storage bay on the right-hand end."
Custom Consoles' Module-R product range is a pick-and-mix control room furniture system combining aesthetically pleasing design with high durability. Typical environments include broadcast control rooms, security control rooms, network operation and industrial process control centres.

The desk pods are available as single-bay sections with up to 12 U chassis capacity. Cabinet construction is in high-quality veneered MDF. Additional features include 19-inch rack housings, integral cable management and continuous brush-strip cable access.
Four of the System 2 desks supplied to Teuve are located in Avid video editing suites, two in the graphics area and the seventh in a music production suite. Each of the System Two desks and matching shelves is 50 per cent larger than standard. Both desks are electrically adjustable allowing individual operators to set their chosen viewing height from a seated to a standing position. System Two is supplied complete with cable management and IEC outlets to power equipment.
