France 3 Adds Digital Vision Film Master To Its Workflow

A leading supplier of picture enhancement systems for film and television post-production, Digital Vision, have announced that national French broadcaster France 3 has added a Film Master colour grading system to its post-production workflow.
The broadcaster which has its headquarters in Paris and facilities in Lille, Marseille and Lyon produces TV dramas, documentaries and episodics.
The Film Master will be used for its high quality HD and 2K projects as well as re-mastering archive classics.
One of the key reasons for France 3 purchasing the Film Master was the integration with Avid products as the broadcaster has over 300 Avid systems. Gérard Sissung, Manager of Lille Centre, France 3 commented on other reasons for buying the system.
He said: "We tested many different machines and the Film Master was the fastest and the most efficient for our HD projects. We also wanted some restoration tools integration in the same system and we were confident in the Digital Vision technology and support.
"All this and the open platform, shared storage and a flexible upgrade strategy made us choose the Film Master."
Simon Cuff, President Digital Vision, added: "France 3 joins other European broadcasters in putting their high end productions through a Digital Vision Film Master and like many of our other clients have chosen the system due to its speed, quality of pictures generated and integration with tapeless systems including the Avid product range."
