Christie Introduces CP2000-M DLP Cinema Projector

Christie, a leading company in digital cinema, introduced the new light and compact CP2000-M DLP Cinema projector at Cine Expo in Amsterdam.
The latest addition to the company's CP 2000 series, it weighs in at 43KG, yet delivers up to 12,000 ANSI Lumens of output power.
Ideal for screens 10 metres wide, Christie said that the new projector was opening up a whole new universe of digital cinema excitement for smaller theatres, multiplexes and post-production facilities around the world.
Based on Texas Instruments' new .98" DLP Cinema chip, the Christie CP2000-M incorporates proprietary Christie optics to produce an image of exceptional quality. Purpose built to meet the needs of the exhibitor; it features a rugged all-in-one design that can be easily installed. Combined with its infinite installation flexibility, it represents a cost-effective value proposition for exhibitors seeking power, performance and ease of use in a compact form for small to midsize theatres.
Brian Claypool, Senior Product Manager, Entertainment Solutions, said: "As the Digital Cinema revolution accelerates in theatres around the world, exhibitors seek the widest choices and best values in DLP Cinema solutions - but they also want reliability and proven performance.
"Designed exclusively for theatrical applications, the Christie CP2000-M was born of pioneering Christie engineering that continues to redefine the standards of performance, value and dependability in the industry."
The Christie CP2000-M features a new motorised lensing system and a selection of eight new zoom lenses that guarantees the right lens for virtually any auditorium with absolutely no need for resizing or scaling. It incorporates a "universal" switching power supply that supports a high performance Xenon bubble arc lamp.
HDCP decryption on both DVI inputs, standard on the Christie CP2000-M allows the display of copy-protected alternate content, BlueRay and even outside HDTV broadcasts. It can be self-cooled or use external air extraction, depending on theatre configurations and need, for greater installation options.
The Christie CP2000-M is part of the Christie CP2000 series that includes the Christie CP2000-SB; the revolutionary split body design of the Christie CP2000-XB and all-in-one Christie CP2000-ZX. With three power levels to choose from, exhibitors can now enjoy a Digital Cinema solutions perfectly tailored to the size of their screens.
