Soho 601 create 'magical' CGI

Soho 601 have complete posts on new CGI bumpers for Nickelodeon's 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch.'
Gaia Predassi, Soho 601 Senior CGI Artist said: "The project involved creating a Japanese toy-looking Sabrina from scratch, setting it up for animation, texturing it and animating it to produce as many bumpers and loopable animations as possible for Nickelodeon.
"Initially, I was given a rough sketch of the character and a few print outs from the Internet of little Japanese toys to base the model on. Usually I tend to allow at least a week to model a character properly, depending on the level of difficulty and detail required, however this time, we had a week for the whole job so I managed to model the character in just over a day.
"Paul Ayre came in to see it expecting to see just a rough unfinished grey model and was happy and surprised to find a colourful completely finished character. Once he had approved it, I spent another day setting it up and creating a few facial details, like blinking and animated eyebrows to give Sabrina a little bit of life. I spent the rest of the week animating and rendering at the same time.
"The job has been intense due to the deadlines but a pleasure to work on."
