FremantleMedia Enterprises Secures New Sales For Oz Drama 'Satisfaction'

FremantleMedia Enterprises have confirmed further sales of its ground-breaking Australian drama 'Satisfaction', which first made a splash in its homeland on premium movie channel Showcase late last year.
An original, edgy drama, 'Satisfaction' is a gripping exploration of the personal lives of five women who work in a high-class Australian brothel. The complex drama sensitively tackles many universal themes including relationship problems, divorce and drugs and challenges us both emotionally and morally. Produced by Lonehand Production, the series has already been recommissioned and filming will begin in June.
The series has been snapped up by Allarco (Super Channel) - English speaking Canada, TV2 Bulgaria, Kanal 2 Estonia and TVN Style Poland. The series has already been picked up by TV3 Ireland, TV2 Zulu Denmark, TV Norge Norway, VTM Belgium (Flemish), MTV3 Finland, HOT for VOD rights and Dori Spike Media for cable and satellite rights in Israel, Kenny and Co Korea, TVNZ New Zealand and Paris Premier (M6 Group) France. And following on from MIPTV, HBO Latin America also found Satisfaction's charms irresistible, as well as several other territories showing interest in acquiring the show.
Alison Whyte, who plays Lauren in the series, received the Most Outstanding Actress at this year's Logies in Australia; Diana Glenn was also nominated in this category. And 'Satisfaction' was included in the Most Outstanding Drama and Favourite Drama categories at the prestigious ASTRA awards (Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association).
