BBC Keeps It In The 'Family'

‘My Family’ which takes a comedic look at everyday family life will stay on air until at least 2009 as the BBC has ordered another two series.
The series, which stars Robert Lindsay and Zoë Wanamaker has a loyal following and has been one of the BBC1’s most popular comedies since it launched in 2000. Its seventh series peaked at 7.2 million viewers last year.
My Family’s two new series – 20 episodes in total - will feature guest starts including Pauline Quirke, Anna Chancellor and Robert Bathurst.
Tom Anderson will co-executive produce the show, which is made by independent producer DLT Entertainment UK in association with Rude Boy.
Baz Taylor and Nic Phillips will direct and John Bartlett will continue his role as producer.
Don Taffner Jr, president of DLT Entertainment said: "For the BBC to commission so many episodes is proof of their on-going commitment to this consistently top-rated comedy."
My Family has been broadcast in the US on BBC America, ABC Australia and Nickelodeon Comedy in Germany.
