BBC3 Upstaged By Time Delay.tv

Swearing on live TV has been keeping a specialist equipment company busy for the past two months.
Time Delay.tv has been supplying the instant profanity delay equipment for BBC3's cross platform TV show 'Upstaged'
Time Delay.tv is the UK and Europe's only company dedicated to broadcast censorship of live TX shows using their new switchable HD/SD Pipeline machine, which can instantly cut out profanity words and/or pictures.
Time Delay.tv has worked on many other live, reality and entertainment shows over the years including 'I'm a Celebrity, Get me out of Here!', 'Love Island', 'Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Take Away', 'Time Team' and 'Hells Kitchen'.
In the USA the Pipeline is also used on The Oscars. The Emmys and The Superbowl.
At 'Upstaged', for BBC3's Live Streaming to the internet / BBC3, there is a Pipeline being used, on each of their two live streams.
As soon as the offending word or sentence is heard, a button is pressed for as long as the offence occurs.
A built in reaction time is triggered, and five seconds later the word comes out clean by inserting a secondary video/audio source.
It is so straightforward to operate that the compliance producers use them themselves with a simple button trigger.
Darryl Rose, Director, Time Delay.tv said: "We are grateful to BBC3, Endemol and Roll 2 Record Outside Broadcast for once again using the UK's premier source for profanity delay.
"In a live situation, there is no second chance so decision making has to be spontaneous, and accurate. Time Delay.tv gives the broadcasters this cushion.
"Time Delay.tv helps eliminate the network's fears, while the viewers at home will still watch a truly unique cross platform show."
The Pipeline has also been used by ITV Sport on The World Cup, to delay the main feed by a few frames, to enable it to match the backup feed, which was not in sync, due to extra hops from satellites.
It can also be used to correct lip sync issues as the audio can be independently delayed/advanced in relation to the video.
