Cannes Film Festival And SmartJog Announce Partnership

The Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes and SmartJog have announced a digital delivery partnership, which will provide distributors with a fast and secure way to send their video material digitally to the market.
SmartJog, one of the leading companies in digital delivery, is providing their SmartExpress service with a local SmartExpress partner in Cannes; UTRAM.
Jérôme Paillard, Executive Director of the Marché du Film, said: "Distributors will benefit from quick and cost-effective digital delivery, along with the highest level of security. SmartJog ensures the safe transfer of the most sensitive pre-release content, which is a key advantage compared to other forms of delivery."
The relationship will enable attendees to meet their tight deadlines by avoiding custom delays and the hassles of physical shipping, fiber feeds, satellite uplink or airplane-couriered delivery.
Julien Seligmann, CEO of SmartJog, said: "SmartJog is pleased to provide cutting edge digital services to The Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes. This event is at the forefront of markets and festivals by consistently embracing digital technology."
In just a few steps, digitized content, such as feature films, trailers and showreels, is securely and quickly transmitted from a SmartJog connected post house, to UTRAM.
UTRAM then outputs the material to a specified format, such as DVD, VHS, Beta SP or DigiBeta, and then delivers it directly to the Market's Screening Department Office in the Palais or anywhere in Cannes, such as hotel suites and booths.
