Old Slogan For New Mars Campaign

Mars is set to resurrect its catchy slogan ‘Work, rest and play’ after 13 years in a new TV campaign.
The 'updated' version of the iconic advertisement - which has seen just the 'and' removed - was created by AMV BBDO and features a more upbeat sound to the ‘A Mars A Day’ jingle with House of Pain’s hip-hop anthem 'Jump Around'.
The 30 second ad, that will be broadcast for the first time on Sunday, features a group of monks who are re-energised after snacking on a Mars bar.
Mars Bar Brand Manager, Caroline Jary said: “We have decided to echo the iconic strapline because it is so fondly remembered and just as relevant now as it ever was.”
The original ‘A Mars a day’ strapline was first used in TV and print commercials for the brand in 1959.
The confectionery-makers latest campaign follows its ‘Blue Monday’, that used the song of the same name by New Order.
