Search On For Talented Producers

Applications are now open for the seven month Magic Light Pictures/Skillset Producer Placement Programme which will run between May - December 2008.
This scheme is intended to provide eight up and coming film producers with insight into the working operations and business realities of the film market.
By gaining a greater understanding of the commercial processes, successful applicants will develop the business acumen and market understanding to initiate, finance and sell successful British Films.
The Producers Training Programme is part of ‘A Bigger Future’ – the UK Film Skills Strategy produced by Skillset and the UK Film Council.
The two main players behind this specific training programme are Magic Light Pictures, a leading production company, with support from Skillset, the industry body which supports the skills and training for people and businesses to ensure the UK audio visual and publishing industries maintain their world class position.
The programme builds on the success of the Samuelson Productions pilot scheme which ran from 2006-7.
