Ascent Media Announces Senior Appointments

Ascent Media has announced two senior additions to its Networks Services sales and business development team in London. Simon Lummis joins Ascent Media as Director of Sales and Paul Dubery takes on the role of Sales Manager. Both have been appointed to expand business opportunities and to focus on emerging prospects generated by the planned launch of the company’s new media centre in February, as well as the expansion of the Viia suite of file-based media services.
Lummis has moved from his role as Group Sales Manager for broadcast at Arqiva where he worked for just over seven years. He previously held the position of Head of Sales at SES-Multimedia between 1998 and 2000.
Dubery joins Ascent Media having formerly worked for Front Porch Digital as Business Development, Partner Management. Prior to this, he also had similar business development roles working for ON-AIR Systems, Tektronix and Grass Valley Group and brings with him over 20 years EMEA experience.

Ascent Media is rolling out a number of new services in 2008 including its Media Centre for broadcast and file-based content preparation, and its recently launched Viia platform, a service that provides a scalable, end-to-end asset management and delivery solution for major studios, leading media content providers, broadcasters and aggregators.
Lummis and Dubery are based at Ascent Media’s Stephen Street office in London and report to Andrew Johnston.
