TV Bandeirantes Group Invests In Ross

TV Bandeirantes Group has again invested in Ross, purchasing a Vision 3 Video Production Switcher and an OverDrive Production Control System. One of Brazil’s largest networks,
TV Bandeirantes will use the switcher and automation system for TV Bandeirantes News, interconnected with their existing AP ENPS news system.
Bandeirantes needed to distribute news throughout Brazil in HD and SD, due to past experience with Ross, it made sense to go with Vision and OverDrive. "We chose Ross because of the past experience we had with the Synergy line," said Rubens Fernando Ortiz, Director of Engineering.
"Visions’ ability to intergrate with OverDrive offers many features which will only advance us in the market."
The Vision Series is Ross' next generation multi-definition production switcher, handling standard and high-definition formats. The Vision MD/X is a great choice for the most demanding newscasts, sports and special events with either HD or SD requirements or a mix of both.
OverDrive is a highly flexible production control system with a LiveLink MOS interface to newsroom editorial systems. Using the extensive device control capabilities of Vision video production switchers, OverDrive extends the reach of the technical director to include control of video servers, audio mixers, robotic cameras and more. The centralized control offered by OverDrive gives the ability to execute a more consistent, sophisticated production on the air without increasing staffing levels.
