FlyingTV 'Wins' Grand National Aerial Coverage

Aintree's Grand National, one of the 'crown jewels' in sports broadcasting, will be covered live for BBC Sport, with FlyingTV providing aerial coverage of the event next April.
The BBC has awarded overall production to their leading independent producer of horse racing, Sunset+Vine. This marks the first time ever that an independent has produced the prestigious event coverage.
FlyingTV's Managing Director Mike Smith said: "FlyingTV has worked with Sunset+Vine on horse racing since 2004. We have provided live aerial coverage at Goodwood, Chepstow, Newmarket, Ascot and another 'crown jewel' event - The Derby at Epsom. Our helicopter shots are used during the race and after for analysis.
"We brought innovation to ITV's coverage of The Boat Race three years ago. And now we aim to have two milestones in one week - Oxford v Cambridge with two helicopters on Sunday March 29 - followed just days later with the three-day Aintree Grand National. The main race is on Saturday April 5," he said.
FlyingTV has also announced that their 'MASTERSHOT' aerial collection will be available online and royalty free.
The collection, hailed as the first dedicated collection of stabilised aerial video, includes material as both footage and stills from over 1500 hrs in the air for television.
The footage will be available online and royalty free from January 2008.
