Kodak Introduces New Motion Picture Film

The Eastman Kodak Company will unveil the first product in a new generation of colour motion picture films at the 2007 International Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus Camerimage.
The KODAK VISION3 500T Color Negative Film 5219/7219 will be unveiled to the 2,000 filmmakers and students expected to attend this year’s Festival, which features competitive and non-competitive screenings of feature and student films in addition to workshops, seminars and meetings.
“Kodak has supported Camerimage since its inception in 1993,” said Thierry Perronnet, Marketing Director for Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging Division in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. “The festival has become an important global gathering for cinematographers. We listened to many of these filmmakers while developing the new KODAK VISION3 film. We will demonstrate breakthroughs in film technology that our scientists have incorporated into this new film, which offers greater efficiencies and expands creative options throughout the workflow.”
Cinematographers who have tested KODAK VISION3 in challenging environments have agreed that it provides more creative flexibility and efficiencies during both production and post production.
Immediately following the KODAK VISION3 presentation, LaserPacific Media Corporation will demonstrate its proprietary aIM (accurateIMAGE) end-to-end color calibrated workflow technology.
