Soho animators opt for USAnimation

Capital Animation Services, based in the heart of Soho’s thriving animation community, are the latest in a line of converts to Toon Boom Technologies’ USAnimation, the "fastest and most technologically advanced professional 2d animation system in the world".
Gary Knowelden, MD at Capital Animation Services, said: “We have always admired USAnimation but have been very comfortable with our own software which we have used for over 10 years and have never felt the need to change. However, as many of our co-producers seem to be using USAnimation I am convinced to maintain our competitive edge and stay ahead of the field, the migration over to USAnimation is the right decision to advance our business over the foreseeable future.
“It was a tough decision and a daunting prospect of having to retrain all of our staff, but it has been a far less painful experience that I envisaged. Our staff are extremely talented and have picked up the new software very quickly. Within five days of the boys at Pixelution stepping through our door we begun work on the first two half hour episodes of a production for an overseas client.”
With another major project already in the pipeline, Capital Animation Services, using USAnimation software, look set to maintain their position as one of the leading animation facilities here in the UK.
