Zeppotron To Produce 'The Wall' For BBC Three

BBC Three has commissioned Endemol subsidiary Zeppotron to produce 'The Wall' (working title), a brand new comedy entertainment series.
The show will feature live comedy, music and celebrity guests. The action revolves around a vast video wall which acts as a virtual gateway for viewers to react to the show in real time, rate brand new performers, make suggestions and send in their own questions for celebrity guests while the show is on air.
The Wall will also have a separate life outside of the live transmission with viewers invited to participate with the show online. Here they can submit jokes, upload their own sketches, rate each other's contributions and access extra content.
Danny Cohen, Controller, BBC Three, said: "The Wall is a dedicated showcase for the next generation of British comedy and entertainment talent. It feels like this kind of show has been missing in recent years from the British telly landscape – and with an ever greater focus on new talent and innovation, it's the right kind of entertainment show for BBC Three."
Neil Webster, Executive Producer for Zeppotron, added: "We're very excited to have been chosen to produce the show. It's the kind of TV you dream about being asked to make. Producing a weekly live comedy show is a unique platform for breaking new talent and we're looking forward to nurturing the comic stars of the future, from both a performing and production perspective. It's an ambitious and demanding show to make, but we relish the challenge."
The Wall was co-commissioned by Elaine Bedell, Controller, BBC Entertainment Commissioning, and Lucy Lumsden, Controller, BBC Comedy Commissioning.
The show is produced by Zeppotron. The Executive Producers are Neil Webster, Peter Holmes and Ruth Phillips.
