TSL Announces Significant Expansion

TSL has announced that due to "considerable and sustained growth" the company has increased its resources in both its Systems and Products Divisions.
In order to satisfy the additional requirements of this growth, the Products Division has now taken up residence in an additional building, freeing more build and storage area for the Systems Division that remains in TSL’s existing home on Vanwall Business Park, in Maidenhead, UK.
As a direct result of this expansion, TSL has welcomed five new senior staff members across both Divisions. Chris Exelby, former Managing Director of Vitec Group Communications Ltd, has joined TSL as General Manager, Products.
Exelby, who has spent the last ten years in Senior Director positions, was CEO of IPV and before that Managing Director of Thomson Multimedia Sales UK Ltd. He will oversee the day-to-day running of the entire Products Division.
Reporting to Chris is Ann Pearson, who has joined the Products Division as Sales Manager. Ann has held high-level Sales roles in both the broadcast and telecoms industries over a number of years, including First Choice Solutions, Miranda Technologies, Quartz, Snell & Wilcox and Vodafone.
David Gunn, previously a freelance Project Manager, has been recruited into a key staff role as General Manager, Systems.
Gunn previously managed the ITV News Bureau and BBC Nations Playout projects on behalf of TSL.
Andrew Davies has joined as Business Development Manager, Systems. Previously, he held Project Management positions for Siemens IT Solutions & Services and BBC Technology.
Rupert Bentley takes on the role of Finance Director, with responsibility for both of TSL’s Divisions. Rupert, a commercial Chartered Accountant has worked in the media, telecoms, publishing and financial sectors.
TSL has also announced promotions within the Systems Division that include Lionel Matthews, who was formerly Proposals Manager, becoming TSL’s Head of Business Development and Bruce MacGregor, who previously held the position of Senior Project Engineer, being promoted to Business Development Manager.
Julian Knight continues as Director of Systems and has overall responsibility for the enhanced Systems group.
CEO of TSL David Phillips said: "TSL is delighted to announce that both Divisions of the company have expanded considerably in the last 24 months. The Systems arm of the business has seen some major contracts from customers including: Peel Holdings Ltd., ART, NRK, Setanta, ESPN Star Sports, Siemens, Red Bee Media and TV Nova. The Products Division is booming with significant worldwide orders from a number of high profile broadcasters.
"We have decided that this is the optimum time to make the commitment to increase our resources and to continue to drive our success forward in 2008. Engaging new staff will not only allow greater customer focus, but also provide further potential for growth."
