Brighton TV Secures Contract With Opus Arte UK

Leading facilities house, Brighton TV, has secured a contract working for the internationally renowned High Definition DVD production and distribution company Opus Arte UK.
Opus Arte UK, which has recently been bought by The Royal Opera House, has awarded the ongoing contract to Brighton TV in a move that consolidates the company’s position as a leading facilities house in the South.
The contract comes just weeks after the company’s expansion in premises and the acquisition of one of the world’s first Alchemist Ph.C HD standards converters. Brighton TV working in partnership with GearBox (Sound and Vision) has acquired the state-of-the-art equipment to meet an increased demand for High Definition transfers. Previously, Sussex based company, Opus Arte UK, had to look to London for this gold standard service.
Jon Lee, Brighton TV’s Technical Director said: “This is a fantastic achievement for regional post production and the further development of HD work in the South. Brighton TV is able to provide a first class service using the pinnacle of HD technology – this allows us to fulfill all of Opus Arte’s expectations and produce a service rivalling that of any London facilities house.”
Brighton TV is also using Sony HDCAM SR as a mastering format which has been developed to accommodate the most demanding applications.
