Emma Hurt Joins Pharos

Emma Hurt has joined the Pharos sales team as a key accounts manager for the company's range of desktop media management and control systems including Mediator, Playtime and Pilot.
Hurt commenced her career in 1999 as a customer support engineer at Omnibus Systems before making the move into training to develop new ways of teaching users desktop and file-based workflows. Her successes included work with leading customers such as TVNZ, RTP, NRK and Ten Network in Australia. She was also chosen for a special secondment to BBC Training & Development, Wood Norton, to assist with the development of operational and engineering modules for delivery by BBC instructors. Most recently
Emma worked for Pilat Media in system consultancy, implementation and customer training.
"Emma has real experience actually working with users at the desktop, as file based workflows have developed over the last 10 years, really using and refining workflows in daily use," said Roger Heath at Pharos. "She also has a great talent for communicating operational skills to users in all areas of programme production and playout. Her international experience and enthusiasm make her a welcome addition to our team."
"Pharos is a market leader in media management and automation," said Emma Hurt. "The web-based Mediator user interface is the most productive workflow control system I have used to date, not just in terms of efficient content management but also in areas like library management, ingest and QC. Pharos is also increasing its focus on integrated post-sales support to include partner technology that relies on Mediator for its performance such as video servers and IT storage subsystems."
