EVS Sells XT2 HD System To Fine Point Broadcast

Broadcast technology provider EVS has sold eight production and playout servers, the XT2 HD system, to dry hire broadcast television equipment specialist Fine Point Broadcast.
Fine Point Broadcast, the UK rental company, has contracted EVS for the delivery of a total of eight new HD XT2 production servers. This significant order comes to answer the growing demand for High Definition broadcast production in the UK.
Fine Point’s Chief Engineer Roger Wedlake commented: "We’ve had tremendous success so far with both the original standard def XT and now the HD XT2. The decision to double our rental stock of EVS XT2 units was not a difficult one as our OB and studio clients regularly demand the HD networkable server technology it offers. Its rugged and reliable design has proven itself and EVS are great people to work with, so we are delighted that our relationship with them goes from strength to strength."
Based on its solid experience in digital live broadcast, EVS XT2 production server and its related software applications deliver the highest level of reliability and flexibility required in any broadcast production environment. Built on an open architecture model, the XT2 server offers broadcasters full integration into any existing broadcast infrastructure for live, near live and studio production application either in SD or HD.
Sales Manager in UK Mike Snell said: "We are pleased with the long term relationship we have built together with the Fine Point team. Our XT2 production server and its related applications are more than ever at the forefront of the new tapeless production model."
