Festival Of Science Fiction And Fantastic Film At Apollo West End
The annual international festival of science fiction and fantastic film returns to the Apollo West End from 2 - 6 May 2007.
Britain’s only festival specializing in this subject area returns for a sixth year, presenting a preview screening on the opening night of Things To Come (William Cameron Menzies, 1936), introduced by John Landis. The Arthur C. Clarke Awards will take place before the screening.
The festival combines challenging and interesting movie premieres with a programme of rarely screened classics and shorts. Several directors, producers and members of the cast from movies being screened at the festival this year will be present at screenings and discussions.
Sci-Fi-London is once again offering a diverse range of attractions. Highlights this year include a Blake’s 7 panel discussion, Sci-Fi Film School, all nighter film screenings, as well as the first international screening of 28 Weeks Later.
In addition, this year will see the festival pairing up with Brunel University to create Cine-Excess, London’s first international conference dedicated to global cult film traditions. Cine-Excess presents over forty-five talks and panel discussions on a wide range of global cult topics. For more information please visit the Cine-Excess website.
A full programme and events listing can be found on the Sci-Fi-London website.
