APRS Mark 60 Years And Announce Third Meeting

As part of its 60th anniversary celebrations the Association of Professional Recording Services (APRS) held the third of its members' meetings at the end of March at its usual venue - The Bath House in London’s Dean Street.
In contrast to the two previous events, the March gathering was devoted to the life, work and philosophies of one man - the legendary Rupert Neve.
Rupert told everyone of his earliest beginnings as a Public Address engineer in South West England, through to the design of his many justifiably renowned analogue recording consoles and finally to his latest audio design achievement the Portico series of high quality audio modules.
APRS members can download an audio recording of the event from the website at www.aprs.co.uk
Recordings of the previous two events are also available along with photos and, for non-members, there are free "taster" clips available.
The next event will be on 25th April at the same venue, upstairs at the Bath House, 98 Dean Street, London W1, from 7pm onwards.
Entitled Marketing-Media the panel will be made up of audio industry experts from the manufacturing, recording studio and media publishing businesses. They will be discussing various aspect of marketing where raising awareness, brand building and effective communication are key components to ensuring a sustainable business and, more importantly, generating new business opportunities.
Anyone interested in attending should register at www.aprs.co.uk or simply turn up on the night.
