LegalTV Programme To Examine 'Employers Law'

LegalTV is launching a new programme strand for small business employers crushed under the weight of new legislation.
LegalTV has announced the start of a topical new series 'Employers Law' to provide much needed help and support to guide employers through the ever increasing mountain of employment legislation.
Television programs such as 'Dragons Den' and 'The Apprentice' paint a picture of a country brimming with entrepreneurs and new business start-ups. However, latest figures suggest that there was a 26% increase in companies that went into administration in 2006 (Deloitte report 01/02/07).
One of the problems cited by employers is the increasing burden of employment legislation mandated by the UK and European governments - the Age Discrimination laws that came into force in October 2006 is among the largest legislation changes for a decade. A raft of new legislation is planned for 2007 which will just increase the burden on employers.
In response to this LegalTV has announced a new series called Employers Law, aimed at small to medium sized companies who need support and advice to help them understand, introduce and manage all the new legislation. Instead of going to a costly lawyer for advice, you can now turn on the television to Sky channel 215 for free support.
As well as covering the most common problems faced by businesses, Employers law will also allow you to call or email your problems and questions, which will be answered by a legal professional.
LegalTV is also keen to hear from you if your business has been forced to close or severely impacted by new legislation. We will send out a team to film your story and showcase it on national television.
For more information on Employers Law and the chance to appear on the show and tell your story, please contact Vijay Gulwani on 0121 380 1050, or email [email protected].
