Irish Gothic Thriller Middletown Released Across The UK

Ireland's highly acclaimed feature film 'Middletown', an explosive tale of love, loss and betrayal, will be released at cinemas across the UK on Friday 2 March by Verve Pictures.
Described by the Irish Times as "the best Irish film since Adam & Paul" and "beautifully constructed, strikingly shot Gothic thriller" by Event Guide, Middletown's star Eva Birthistle garnered a Best Actress award at the recent 2007 Irish Film & Television Awards.
Middletown presents a haunting story of good versus evil.
Directed by BAFTA-nominated Brian Kirk, produced by award-winning Michael Casey and written by hot new talent Daragh Carville, Middletown stars a stunning ensemble of Ireland's acting talent including Gerard McSorley, Mick Lally, David Wilmot, Frankie McCafferty, Bronagh Gallagher and Marie Jones.
Middletown was financed by Bord Scannan na hEireann/Irish Film Board and the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission.
