Junction Ltd Announces High Profile Speakers At IPTV

Junction Ltd has announced speakers from across the telecoms and broadcast industry for its March 2007 event.
The announcement comes as over 110 exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance at the show - a new record - being staged at the Olympia in London from March 5-7, 2007.
The conference will feature over 40 worldwide telcos and ISPs discussing IPTV service deployment issues. Speakers include Telefonica, PCCW, Belgacom, BT, SaskTel, Deutsche Telekom AG/T-Com, Telstra, T-Online France, AT&T, Telecom New Zealand, NetCologne, Telekom Austria, Fastweb, BSkyB, Orange, Bharti Airtel Ltd and Siminn.
"IPTV is now a major industry phenomenon and next March's London event will, I believe, be a major landmark for professionals from all over Europe - and beyond - to gather and discuss their experiences together," said Ian Johnson, Managing Director of event organisers, Junction Ltd.
Leading speakers already include: Bernard Ghillebaert, CEO, Orange UK; Jean-Charles De Keyser, Chairman, Belgacom Skynet; Mary Turner, CEO, Tiscali; Paul Berriman, Head of Strategic Market Development, PCCW; Ashley Highfield, Director of Future Media & Technology, BBC; Paolo Agostinelli, Head of Media & TV, Fastweb; Marc Schroeder, Senior VP, T-Home Deutsche Telekom; Chris Coles, President/CEO, Myrio - A Siemens Company; and Jeff Weber, VP Product & Strategy, AT&T.
In addition to the conference programme, the event will also include leading content players and broadcasters, as well as an IPTV showcase area in the exhibition, featuring service demonstrations from 25 leading worldwide IPTV deployments.
Next year's IPTV World Forum will run in parallel to two additional Junction conferences: The Connected Home and TV Over Net. A three day joint exhibition, being held for all three conferences, will be free to attend.
Johnson added: "Delivering video over the internet is rapidly emerging as a significant delivery platform for content. With The Connected Home show examining future service and device convergence, and how content is delivered around the home, the IPTV World Forum is a compelling draw for the telecoms, digital broadcasting and device markets. This year we have made our exhibition free to attend as we build the show and look to attract a broader worldwide audience to attend."
