Debut Of Hawk Woods 'Link Battery System'

UK based Hawk-Woods, the industry specialists in camera adaptors, have announced what they claim to a world first for the DV Camera market.
Their new DV 'Link Battery System' is the answer to many cameramen’s prayers. A single battery with Link adaptors and mounts designed to power LED lamps and wireless radios.
The system starts with the Link Battery, which is compatible with all Sony cameras using the NPF battery system. This Li-ion battery will power a camera and 10W LED lamp in excess of 120mins. Hawk-Woods 2-Channel Fast Charger gives quick power replenishment.
Using a secure lock and latch mechanism, the Link Step-UP DC Converter (7.2 to 12V) can be connected to the battery. Adaptors are fitted with a 4 Pin Hirose and a Power-Con, with two output variations available (up to 25W).
Completing the system are the Radio Link or Universal Link mountings, these can hold a wireless radio mic, hard disk recorder or wireless radio. Power is supplied via the Step-Up Link Converter.
Hawk-Woods have identified the inconvenience of carrying extra equipment and their “Link Battery System” offers a practical solution to this. With a patent currently pending, this new product is sure to take the industry by storm.
