Megahertz expands to cope with client demand
Megahertz Broadcast Systems has expanded its facilities in Witchford, near Ely, Cambridgeshire, by taking an additional 10,000 square feet of workshop space.
The expansion into an empty adjacent building gives the independent systems integrator space to increase the company’s through-put by handling more Outside Broadcast vehicle projects at any given time.
Megahertz’ managing director Frances Jarvis said: “The expansion means we have increased out workspace by more than half. This will allow us to tackle more projects at once and improve the service we offer our broadcast customers.”
The company, which has experience in both "turnkey" fixed projects and the design and construction of sophisticated Outside Broadcast vehicles, is based in a state of the art facility that was specifically designed for its needs. Since moving to Wickford 18 months ago, Megahertz has built a number of high profile vehicles included an HD vehicle for Kuwait Television and an HD-ready vehicle for the BBC.
