Specialist film & TV supplier moves to central Slough location

The arrival of One Stop Film Ltd, a specialist supplier to the movie industry, has boosted Slough Trading Estate’s reputation as the location of choice for businesses operating in the film and TV sector.
The company, who supply everything from special effects equipment such as snow, smoke fluid and pyrotechnics, to broadcast and recording microphones, headphones and other gadgets, has 11 years experience in the film industry – supplying film companies involved in a number of major projects including the latest James Bond film, and the recent 'Batman Begins' movie, which featured the all-new Batmobile ‘The Tumbler’
Located just five miles from Pinewood Studios, 10 miles from Heathrow and 14 minutes from London by train, One Stop Film Ltd will be in good company at its new home on Aberdeen Avenue, with a number of TV and film-related businesses already in operation at the estate.
“We are pleased to have moved to our new location in between two of the largest studios in England, Pinewood and Shepperton,” commented Managing Director Duncan Capp, “but we can now also provide quality equipment to other areas of the film and television industry such as sound and lighting departments. As the name suggests, we are a One Stop Shop for all areas of the entertainment industry, and Slough Trading Estate is an ideal location from which to operate.”
Slough Trading Estate has launched a new campaign in Kays UK Production Manual, the film and TV industry’s key directory, to highlight the many opportunities open to businesses in the film and TV sectors at the estate, from open land through to a wide range of industrial and office buildings.
“Our associations with TV and film are extensive and well established,” says Trading Estate Regional Director Stephen Bailey. “Cult TV producer, Gerry Anderson, filmed Thunderbirds, Stingray and other famous puppet series in a studio on the Trading Estate. Scenes from Stanley Kubrik’s Dr Strangelove were also filmed here while, more recently, we have been the location for SAS TV series Ultimate Force, starring Ross Kemp and, of course, The Office.
“For TV and film producers we are a proactive, flexible partner capable of providing a wide range of locations complete with support facilities. And, with our award winning Business Watch scheme incorporating estate-wide CCTV, we can offer a safe and secure place to work.”
