ORAD SET FOR OLYMPIC BROADCASTS

ORAD, providers of virtual set technologies, virtual advertising and sports broadcasting tools, have announced that their technology has been chosen by international networks for the broadcast of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Orad’s CyberSport systems will be deployed in the track & field, swimming and other venues in Sydney where it will be used to insert graphics and special effects into the live broadcasts of the events.
Orad’s President and Chief Executive Officer Avi Sharir said: “The Olympics reflect Orad’s dominance in sports production and analysis. Orad will use the Olympic stage to launch novel sports production technologies. This will be the most significant global exposure of Orad’s technology enhancing the viewers enjoyment and sports understanding.”
In addition, Orad’s virtual sets will be based at the International Broadcast Centre in Sydney and used live by broadcasters including Japan’s NHK and Mexico’s TV Azteca.
