OMNIBUS SYSTEMS DEVELOP WORKFLOW MANAGER

OMNIBUS Systems, installers for television station automation, encompass every aspect of operation lines, from remote camera control to satellite positioning, have announced the development of Workflow Manager, a software solution for IT and Broadcast facilities.
Workflow Manager enables the design of graphical maps which allow, for example, all the decisions about the process of film through the work station to be fully automated, saving time and freeing up creativity.
Ian Fletcher OmniBus Systems Technical Director said: “With the current drive towards re-purposing material, television stations are becoming more and more process driven. By seamlessly integrating broadcast and IT solutions, Workflow Manager will allow the broadcast team to spend less time worrying about processes and more time concentrating on their core business of producing and transmitting programme.”
Workflow Manager can also add a link to any industry standard database, send and receive emails or customise reports and mail them to key executives.
Workflow Manager is expected to be commercially available before the end of the year.
