Wildtracks choose new Merging system from TAS

Audio specialists Total Audio Solutions have supplied a complete Pyramix and HD VCube system by Merging Technologies to Soho audio postproduction facility Wildtracks.
One of the leading facilities in its class, with seven digital studios featuring surround mixing and Dolby license for cinema commercials, Wildtracks carries out a huge variety of fast-turnaround projects including promos and commercials for television channels together with animations and documentaries for a wide range of clients.
Managing Director Graham Pickford explained that they had been looking at a range of options to replace their ageing DAR system for almost two years. “We needed to replace the DAR system that we have used for fifteen years and we found that the Merging system gave us the speed and tapeless production we wanted. Pyramix and VCube can handle any format including providing the BWAV files which there is increasing demand for. The decision was made easier by the fact that Total Audio were very good at supplying what we wanted,” he said. ”The Pyramix system is much more intuitive than its competition.”
