Gefen upgrades CAT-5 extension solutions

Keeping time with recent innovations in DVI chip technologies, Gefen has announced plans to upgrade its popular line of HD digital video extension solutions over CAT-5 cables.
Designed to provide an easy method of moving digital displays, USB keyboard/mouse and in some cases, RS-232 touchscreens and audio components, away from the computer without sacrificing quality, the models receiving upgrades include: CAT5-1500 HD, which extends one DVI display plus USB keyboard/mouse; CAT5-6500 HD, which extends two mirrored DVI displays plus USB keyboard/mouse; CAT5-7500 HD, which extends two mirrored DVI displays, USB keyboard/mouse, RS-232 touchscreen and audio in/out; and CAT5-9000 HD, which extends one DVI display, USB keyboard/mouse, RS-232 touchscreen and audio in/out.
All peripherals are capable of performing at distances up to 150 feet from the computer when connected by CAT-5 cable. Each model supplies a plug and play sender unit and receiver unit along with appropriate connector cables and an external power supply.
Upgraded models provide greater EMI protection, perform better in "patch bay" scenarios and handle cable skew variations with greater ease.
HD resolutions are sustained up to 1920x1200 together with hi-speed USB, allowing computers to be located in the safest environment while being controlled over CAT-5 cable anywhere within a 150 foot radius.
Gefen supplies CAT-5 cables in various lengths for connecting the computer to the extended workstations.
