Steve Abbot appointed to NFTC board

The Film Council have appointed Steve Abbott to the Board of the National Film Trustee Company (NFTC).
The NFTC, which is fully funded by the Film Council, is a non-profitmaking organisation set up in 1971 to specialise in collecting revenue earned by UK films at home and abroad and passing them back to the producers and financiers. Abbott, an independent producer who is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, will play an important role in publicizing the benefits of using the NFTC when setting up a production. His expertise and experience as an independent producer will enable him to increase understanding in the sector of the NFTC's collection services record, and the important role it plays in enabling production companies to recoup their investments both domestically and internationally.
