GOVERNMENT PROBES BBC EXECUTIVES BONUSES

SENIOR BBC Executives will have to justify their bonus payments in public as a result of Government pressure as reported in The Sunday Times.
The Government is to force 17 Senior Executives as well as Director General Greg Dyke to declare exactly how they earned their bonus payments. Dyke and the other BBC Board members will, from next year, have to justify their bonuses, which in some cases increase their basic salaries by up to 30 per cent.
The newspaper quotes BBC sources as confirming that Board members have accepted the recommendations of a Government-commissioned report to increase their accountability.
