ORDERS ACCELERATE FOR GRASS VALLEY GROUP

THE GRASS Valley Group, providers of new media technologies, have reported an increase in orders for two of their next-generation products: the Profile XP Media Platform and the Kalypso Video Production Centre.
The Grass Valley Group have said that they have received orders for their Profile XP Media Platform from more than 1,500 channels since the product started shipping nine months ago. Additionally, they have received more than 100 orders over the past six months for the Kalypso Video Production Centre. Recent Grass Valley Group customers include the BBC and HTV Wales.

The Grass Valley Group’s next-generation products are part of the company’s ‘Media Without Bounds’ technology and solutions initiative to optimise video and other content creator’s distribution strategies. This initiative acknowledges the emergence of Digicasters-professional content creators who want to broadly re-purpose their high-value content over a variety of digital distribution media.
The Profile XP Media Platform has more broadcast content stored on it than any other server, supporting both the high-quality standards required for broadcast television as well as MPEG, DVCPRO, HD and MPEG Transport Streams (MTS) formats.
