Grass Valley Group win multi-million dollar Qatar contract

Continuing their success amid challenging business climates worldwide, the Grass Valley Group have announced a multi-million dollar order from Qatar Radio & Television Corporation.
The broadcaster will use next-generation Grass Valley Group vision mixer, server, router and modular products as part of a systematic facility upgrade that includes a new state-of-the-art television production facility and a 600-square metre production studio.
The order includes a four mix/effects (M/E) version of the Grass Valley Kalypso video production centre vision mixer that combines industry-leading switching. Its networked architecture offers a precedent-setting degree of operational integration.
The package shall also include two profile digital video servers that are known as the most flexible solution, supporting the high-quality standards required for broadcast television and low-resolution required for the internet. Two Grass Valley Model 1200 vision mixers and the new Grass Valley Concerto series compact routing matrix and the Valley 8900 Series modular product complete the installation.
