VISCOM ABERDEEN ACQUIRE MACROVISION LICENCE

VISCOM Aberdeen have announced that they are now fully licensed to incorporate Macrovision's copy protection technology into their DVD-video manufacturing process.
Mark Philip, Viscom's Multimedia Manager, said: "We believe in investing in
technology and DVD satisfies the most demanding applications, allowing full
motion broadcast quality video to be realised on disc for the first time.
Piracy is all too common in today's society but with Macrovision's
technology we are one step ahead."
Macrovision's DVD copy protection is designed to prevent unauthorized
copying of DVD programming to VCRs without impairing the original picture during viewing.
It is now used on most DVD titles being released and is the only technology
of its kind currently available.

Viscom Aberdeen have 13 years of experience in developing multimedia
products and maintain a programme of investment in new technology.
In the last nine months Viscom have invested over £160,000 in digital
facilities including an Avid Symphony suite.
