IS IT THE END OF TELEVISION ADVERTS?

TiVo, creators of personal television systems, have launched the first system in Britain that will allow viewers to jump advertisement breaks at the touch of a button.
The personal television system also allows viewers to ‘pause’ a live broadcast and resume viewing when convenient. Another feature speeds up the playback, so that viewers can eventually catch up with the live transmission.
Owners will be able to activate their own action replays of sporting highlights or mumbled dialogue.
TiVo builds up a profile of viewers from the programmes they watch and records their favourite and related programmes.
