DISCREET ANNOUNCE FROST 2.5

DISCREET, developers of systems and software for visual effects, have announced a further streamline on-air graphics development and workflow, Frost 2.5.
Frost 2.5 will deliver new features designed to increase productivity for broadcast designers. Virtual studio elements can be brought directly into a scene for pre-visualisation while reducing pre-production set-up time.
Executive Vice President of Discreet Paul Lypaczewski said: “Frost, powered by the industry’s highest-performance real-time renderer, will give broadcast designers the speed, automation and immediacy to truly bridge the gap between design and live production. By seamlessly integrating 2D and 3D, Frost will offer the utmost in flexibility for broadcasters seeking to stay on the cutting edge of TV graphic design.”
Scene optimisation tools have also been improved in Frost 2.5. New animation controls for cameras, text and textures will reduce scripting, allowing more production work to be completed within Frost.
