American Le Mans Series and Motors TV tighten links

Motors TV and the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) have announced the signing of a three year broadcasting agreement, detailing that Motors TV will be the exclusive live broadcaster for the entire series in Europe until the end of the 2008 season.
The American Le Mans Series will see the very first race appearance of the new diesel R10 Audi during the opening round of the 2006 season, the 54th running of the Sebring 12 hours, to be held on Saturday March 18 and broadcast live on Motors TV from 15:30hrs.
“2006 marks the third year of our partnership with ALMS,” said Frédéric Viger, Motors TV Head of Programming and Acquisitions. “And I am very happy we managed to extend this deal on a long-term basis. Motors TV’s determination and capability of opening its air-time for long-lasting endurance events is unrivalled, and brings to the viewers the real essence of the sport.”
“In the last few years of our involvement, the American Le Mans Series has been consistently rated by our viewers as one of their favourite Motors TV programmes,” he continued. “We look forward to building on that experience as the 2006 season unfolds and over the next three years.”
