TASCAM ANNOUNCE NEW DIGITAL RECORDER
WATFORD company Tascam are now shipping their new DA-98HR 8-track DTRS format digital recorder.
Designed primarily for professional music recording, broadcast and film post-production, the DA-98HR represents one of the most advanced tape based multitrack recorders available.
The enhanced functionality of the DA-98HR over previous tape based MDM designs includes selectable 16-bit or 24-bit high resolution eight track recording without loss of recording time.
The unit comes equipped with a full complement of on-board sync and chase features required for high end post production applications, including on-board SMPTE synchroniser, 8-channel AES/EBU and TDIF digital I/O.
All the features of the previous DA-98 unit have been retained, including Off Tape Confidence Monitoring, front panel access to machine setup parameters and a comprehensive LCD screen.
